Why Collection Page Buttons Matter for B2B

Most B2B buyers don\'t browse your store one product at a time. They land on a collection page — whether it\'s "Industrial Supplies," "Wholesale Apparel," or a search results page — and scan dozens of products to find what they need.

How It Works

AddToQuote\'s collection page buttons require zero configuration. Here is the setup:

1. Enable the app embed in your Shopify Theme Editor (you likely already did this during onboarding)
2. That\'s it. Buttons appear automatically on every collection page, search results page, and product grid in your store.

There is no per-collection toggle, no block placement, and no code to add. The app embed script detects product cards on any page and injects a properly styled "Add to Quote" button below each product.

Real Product Data

When a customer clicks "Add to Quote" on a collection page, the app fetches the full product data from Shopify\'s \/products/{handle}.json\ endpoint. This includes:

• Price — accurate current price, including sale prices
• Variants — all available options (size, color, etc.)
• Images — product thumbnail for the quote cart
• Handle — for linking back to the product page

This means every product added from a collection page has the same accurate data as if the customer added it from the product detail page.

Infinite Scroll & Dynamic Loading

Many Shopify themes use infinite scroll, "Load More" buttons, or AJAX-powered collection filters. AddToQuote handles all of these using a MutationObserver — a browser API that watches for DOM changes.

When your theme loads new product cards (via scroll, filter, or pagination), the MutationObserver detects the new elements and automatically injects "Add to Quote" buttons. No race conditions, no timing issues — it just works.

Customizing Collection Page Buttons

Collection page buttons share the same styling settings as product page buttons. You control everything from Settings > Display & Logic in the AddToQuote admin:

Changes apply instantly across all collection pages and product pages. One set of settings controls the appearance everywhere.

Where Buttons Appear

Collection page buttons appear automatically on:

• Collection pages — /collections/your-collection
• Search results — /search?q=your-query
• Product grids — any page that displays a grid of product cards with links to product pages
• Vendor pages — /collections/vendors?q=vendor-name
• Tagged collections — /collections/collection-name/tag

If a page displays product cards with links to product detail pages, the app will detect them and add buttons.

Integration With the Quote Cart

Products added from collection pages use the same localStorage-based quote cart as the product page button. This means:

• Products appear in the popup widget immediately
• The header cart icon updates its count
• The quote cart persists across page navigations
• When the customer submits, all products (from product pages and collection pages) are included in one quote request

There is no difference in functionality between adding a product from a product page vs. a collection page. The customer experience is seamless.
